It's All in the Presentation--Including Graphics and Images in Your Documents
Excerpt quoted
http://www.lexmark.com/US/solutions/home/develop/articles/create_presentations.html
Are you getting the most out of your printer? The answer is "no" if you aren't using it to create visually pleasing business documents, attention-getting signs, colorful greeting cards, eye-catching presentations and other well designed works. We all know looks aren't everything, but the appearance of the various documents you produce---whether they include business cards, letterhead, brochures, proposals or family calendars--affects the recipient's perception of you. For example, if you received two take-out restaurant menus in the mail--one in full color with appealing photos and the other in plain black and white text, chances are the latter will end up in the trash. So how can you produce documents that will wow your family, friends and customers? Use the myriad of resources on the Internet to your advantage, and unleash the power of your printer!
Fortunately for the home or small business user like you, there are so many resources available on the Internet including free clip art, photos, fonts, trialware and more! So even if you don't have any experience with designing a brochure or putting together a family newsletter there is help at your fingertips.  read compete article

Some of my own tips:
When I want only to print a graphic or particular part/wording of a webpage:
I highlight it by dragging my mouse over what I want to print -
unclick mouse, when area is highlighted, then from file/print option
choose "selection" - and the highlighted section you have
highlighted, should be all that you will see printed.

Also you can choose from your file/print menu - if you only want to
print out a partcular "frame" from a web page. As sometimes - just pressing
the print button on a "framed" page will get you the "main" or sidebar frame.

Make sure that you check the properties for your printer - to save ink,
print out webpages with just wording on it, in grayscale. Unless you have a need for color.
You may also want to print some pages in landscape mode
vesus portrait - so check that property too (usually under paper size).
*Rememer - sometimes printers
will save your last usage settings, so just double check, just how your printer is set  to print,
before you print anything important.

Epson Stylus Photo 1280 Inkjet Printer
The Printer
Since we were replacing a wide format inkjet printer,
the replacement also had to be a wide format printer.
The Stylus 1280 is capable of printing on paper up to
13" wide and 19" long. This allows us to print 4 sided
brochures up to 8.5 x 11 size format. The Epson Stylus
3000 inkjet was also capable of printing 11x17 format,
but the biggest difference is the Stylus Photo 1280 is
capable of borderless printing and the Stylus 3000
couldn't.

One of the reasons that I post so many links to various resources, that often have or repeat information
found on another page, is that you may find certain pages are no longer available. Sometimes a particular webpage may be down, due to server or other problems, or moved and left no forwarding address.
I try to give you more than one option or link to find similar information, or similar printables.

Websites and website pages come and go, if you don't print out the information, when you find it and see it,
it may not be there when you go back and try to retrieve it again.

Tips for finding lost sites...
**Sometimes** you may be able to find the text information of sites that are no longer
where you had previously bookmarked them:
use the Wayback Machine of archived webpages -
place the Exact URL webaddress (of the page that you used the last time you visited it)
in the Wayback Machine to find previous versions of the website.
http://www.archive.org

Another tool/tip to use:
- if you do a search in GOOGLE, and you click on a site, and it isn't there any longer or is unavailable -
go back to your search results and click on the "cache" link for a version of the page that Google
archived the last time it spidered the site.
 Google Web Search Features
Excerpt quoted from Google
In addition to providing easy access to more than 3 billion web pages,
Google has many special features to help you to find exactly what you're looking for.
http://www.google.com/help/features.html

I have also used Google to locate lost pages - some webpage creators may move their pages, to
another website or different part/or/directory on their hosts web server.  But they may keep the same
name of the actual webpage, when they move or post it somewhere else.
If the page has a different or unusual name - such as "bobstutorial1.htm" - try searching in Google for
just that file name. It won't work for names such as "index.html" or tutorials.html, etc.
as those file names are quite common.

Try searching for lost content by putting in quotes the title of the page that may be unique to the page or that you remembered seeing on the top of the page.

I try to quote excerpts directly from the web pages that I link to on these pages, that way, if you don't find
a page available any longer - you can try copying and pasting "unique" sentences, from that copy - and put
it in quotes and search on google for it that way.
**Note** you may very well end up with a link back to my webpage, as this is where you copied the quote from,
but Google may also turn up other pages, and may have the new page linked to where the content may have moved. It's worth a shot..if finding a past resource is important to you.
