with some help using Microsofts Digital Image software

For making a Box template using the online box maker
Super Deluxe Tuckbox Template Maker
at  http://www.cpforbes.net/tuckbox/
I used as inspiration the blog posting on this blog
My Creative Corner
http://www.starlightstamper.com/2009/01/eggxactly.html
where Wanda showed a Cadbury Easter Egg Box she created using the online box maker at http://www.cpforbes.net/tuckbox/

I used her dimensions of 1.75"w X 2.5"h to make a similar sized box.

I typed in her dimensions and then clicked on Make PDF template

You can choose to save the output to your computer as a pdf document

Or
You can choose to  open the Template right then using the Free Acrobat Reader program – most people have it installed on their computer already so the pdf file should just open
and click on the little disk icon and Save the pdf document to your computer

Once you have the PDF document open>> To obtain the graphic of the Tempate that was generated by the online box maker
You would use the tools within the PDF document itself, click on the little camera icon
And using your mouse – draw around the entire area you want to capture from the document – draw around the template. Note: make sure you are viewing the template at 100%.

Doing that action, copies what ever is selected to your computers Clipboard.

For my examples I am using Microsofts Digital Image Suite 2006 software program
I am going to Copy and Paste the image or template I just drew around in the PDF doc, by opening my DIS 2006 and clicking on New Document icon. Then I click on the Clipboard icon and it will paste what I just drew around in the PDF document. **if you are using another program such as Adobe's Photoshop Elements  or PaintShop Pro >> you can click on New document and choose "From Clipboard" and doing that will automatically paste the selection in as a new image**

Now I have my template >> from here I will crop around it to the edge of it and name and save this as my original template.

At this point I also like to print out my original template at > FIT TO PAGE and Assemble it – just to see how it all fits and looks. This helps me for future reference, I make notes on the template, write on what its name is, note where I place graphics or how to orient them on the template when I am seeing it on the screen etc.

Once I have the original – I duplicate it, and because this particular template has writing inside it – I want to make a BLANK Template with NOTHING inside it except the white area, and dotted lines. So using the marquee tool I draw around the areas I want filled in and use the Effects menu option of fill with texture or color and fill the marquee selected areas with white.

Then I have a white BLANK template that I now will name and save as my Blank – this is the template that I will use for crafting.

When it is time to use this BLANK, I will open it, then DUPLICATE whole picture and it’s the Duplicate blank that I will use to actually create my filled craft box.

I follow the steps that I have on my tutorial I posted on this webpage
on How I Fill a Blank Template to fill this particular box
See the Tutorial at http://teas2dine4.com/hugbees/filltempwdip10.html

I used Graphics by Kay Miller : Hippity Hoppity Clay Bits
and a Background paper that I changed the Hue coloring on
from pcCrafter'sDebbie Mumm's Easter Creatable collection

Once I have it all done and the way I want it, I print out> Fit to Page and assemble the box.

TAAA-DAAA!

That's my story and I'm sticking to it!
Happy Crafting.
